The Blue Ridge Mountains are a mountain range in eastern United States. They are part of the Appalachian Mountains.There is a road called the Blue Ridge Parkway that runs along the ridges and was built during the Great Depression as part of the New Deal by federal and state agencies with the cooperation of the "Works Progress Administration" and the "Civilian Conservation Corps".
