History:
Japan has quite a long history of bamboo. Its usen in many myths and legends as a metaphor for strength in a man. It is also used in many Japanses cuisine. It was also historically used to make tools for the home and in battle. Around the 8th century, Japanese aristocrats began vacationing in natural environments. The dense forest covers about 16 square kilometers (3,950 acres), and the pathways stretch through about 300 meters of the space.
